Cling film helps cover, wrap and protect prepared foods, ingredients and containers in cafés, restaurants, catering businesses and commercial kitchens. Insinc’s range includes compostable cling wrap and conventional plastic cling film in several widths and roll lengths.

Compostable or Plastic Cling Film?

Compostable cling wrap is available in a 300mm x 30m format and may suit businesses looking for an alternative to conventional plastic film. Compostability depends on the product’s certification and whether an appropriate composting facility accepts the used wrap.

Plastic cling film is available in longer commercial rolls for frequent food preparation and storage. It should not be described or disposed of as compostable unless the individual product specifically carries that claim.

Which Width and Roll Length Should You Choose?

A 300–330mm roll suits smaller bowls, trays and everyday food preparation. Wider 380–450mm film provides more coverage for large containers, catering trays and bulk ingredients.

Shorter 300m rolls may suit moderate usage, while 600m rolls reduce replacement frequency in busy kitchens. Store cling film away from heat and use it only as directed by the manufacturer, particularly when covering hot food or using it near ovens and microwaves.
